I found this public domain comic book that was published in 1930 and thought the cover was an excellent illustration. The book was somewhat tattered and required digital restoration. The the digital image was enlarged so that it could be printed larger than the original comic book.
All of my experience as a freelance photographer was film-based until I picked up a point & shoot digital camera in 2006. I utilize some of my old slide images that have been digitized as well as images shot with my Fuji F100FD. The images are processed in a number of software applications, but mostly using a Photoshop clone (Serif PhotoPlus X6) and Topaz Labs plugins.

This was the first image in a series of comic book covers I'm doing and it's my favorite. I have 10 or 15 more I still want to work on. The subject, composition, and colors of many of the comics make for excellent images. I'll one more ready soon.
