Artist's Description
This is a restored and enlarged image of a classic comic book. The comic book's copyright has expired allowing me to legally modify and sell this image. I am drawn to the intense contrast and saturation of the colors. The creature is certainly scary and comical at the same time. There is action and tension everywhere in this image. I think the spacemen will save the day.
About Gary Dow
All of my experience as a freelance photographer was film-based until I picked up a point & shoot digital camera in 2006. I utilize some of my old slide images that have been digitized as well as images shot with my Fuji F100FD. The images are processed in a number of software applications, but mostly using a Photoshop clone (Serif PhotoPlus X6) and Topaz Labs plugins.
